Effective Solutions to Fix McAfee Error 12152:
Before applying any of the solutions that are stated below make sure that you have a strong internet connection.
Solution 1- Remove the Previous Antivirus if Any
During the installation of any other security software on your device, it is essential to check whether there is any previous antivirus installed on your system.
In case, you have already installed another antivirus tool, then you need to uninstall it. To do so, at first, move to the Control Panel and from there navigate to the Programs and Features option.
After that, search for the old security software from the list and uninstall it. Once completed, then try to install the McAfee antivirus on your system.
Solution 2- Use the Pre Installation Tool
In case, the above solution is unable to bring the required results for you, then we suggest you launch the pre-installation tool.
To do so, at first, open a browser and download the pre installation tool. Then, click on the Apply and follow the online instructions to complete the process.

Solution 3- Run the System File Checker
Sometimes, the corrupt windows system files can also lead to the McAfee error 12152. In such a scenario, you are suggested to run the inbuilt System File checker.
How to Run the System File Checker?
In the beginning, click on the Start icon and after that enter ‘CMD’ within the Search field. Next, double-click on the first option that appears on the display.
It will open a Command Prompt window. Furthermore, right-click on the Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator.
Next, type ‘sfc/scannow’ on the next window and press the Enter key to start the scanning process.

Solution 4- Use System Restore

Solution 5- Upgrade the Device Driver
Another effective fix is to ensure that the device driver has been updated to its latest version. For that, you can use the Device Manager.
How to Update the Device Driver by using the Device Manager?
In the beginning, click on the Start menu and enter the device manager in the given field. Then, hit the Enter key in order to open the Device Manager option.
Within the Device Manager, expand the full list and double-click on the device that you want to update.
Then, right-click on the device and choose the Update driver option. Finally, mark the box beside the Search Automatically for updated driver software option.
In case, any update is available, then it will be updated automatically. Once done, then again reboot your system and check if the McAfee error 12152 still shows on the display or not.
Solution 6- Clear the System Junk Files
The system junk files are quite dangerous and can lead to several issues. McAfee error 12152 can be one of them.
In such a situation, you can use the inbuilt Disk Cleanup tool to fix the error. Now, to implement this task, at first, open the Disk Cleanup tool and then tap on the ‘Clean up System Files’ option.
